Blender can save transparency to the alpha channel in png’s or tga’s, but not all video editors can import sequenced images as video clips.
To solve this problem I made a freeware program that converts the images into two AVI’s. One with the image and another with a mask created from the alpha channel. Makes compositing very easy.
