Set in the year 2070, A new kind of Olympic games started. The Olympic is officially called “Armor Wars”. 7 Big time companies around the world produce powered armors, weapons and accessories for the participants in the Olympic.
\ GAMEPLAY //
The Olympic features games like:
Air Strike - Just like the movie Death Race but in the air. Here the players wear Iron Man style armor that enables them to fly at supersonic speeds. The players team up and attack the opposing teams.
Unlike the other games, this is only done trough a state-of-the art battle field simulator.
A gunship is the final boss here.
Armor Rumble - A football style game where players wear unique power armor. Each armor is not equal. Some stronger than the others. Players must use their skills to win.
Slug Ball - A basket ball style game. The ball is a heavy round metal. No dribbling, the players pass the heavy ball to their team mates and shoot it in the ring. The ball become heavier each quarter
Mile Run - Here the players wear Nanosuit 1 style armor equipped with strength, speed and durability enhancement. The players run for miles and miles as fast a they could. The first player to reach the finish line wins.
The player run from the hot desert to the snowy mountains. They even swim if a river, lake or the sea blocks their way.
The player will be monitored through multiple satellites, making cheating impossible.
\ POWER ARMORS //
I need some design ideas about the armors that the players will use.
I refered to Archetype, Crysis, Iron Mon and Fallout for design inspirations.
Anything centered around physical activity is not what gamers want XD. I’m just uncertain of how you would put these kinds of things in a game played with a mouse and keyboard… Do we really need a sprinting game which supposedly makes you repeatedly press a button several times very quickly? Unless you had something else in mind.
from what I see here your idea is very rough and I can still shamelessly pluck things away without losing anything important to the full game, I will say that I am criticizing on something that is just an idea, but at the same time this is when ideas need the most criticism, so don’t get mad.
