My "Image As Plane" is a movie. What about the sound?

If I set the movie Offset to frame 50, a Speaker object would be out of sync.

So…

Any Ideas? (other than re-editing my original video)

Add the sound in the video sequence editor in the same scene.
You can place the sound in such a way that it will be in sync.
