My keypad isn't working

Hi, could someone help me find out why my keypad doesn’t do anything please?

Edit: I’ve just realized this isn’t a blender issue, my keypad is actually not doing anything, at all.

Hopefully you’ll find out why. I know I have keyboard issues that’s within blender. Have to close out and reopen blender to get it working again.

Update: Just happened again. Had to reopen blender 4 times before it started working.

OK, so my numlock key is the culprit all of a sudden. This did not fix things earlier but now I can type numbers with the numpad. However, the numbers on the keypad still do nothing in blender.

This is soooo annoying.

Edit: I’ve tried restarting blender like seven times and still nothing :frowning:

Edit 2: I fixed it :smiley: I uninstalled blender and reinstalled it and it works fine now.

Ok, blender is officially broken for me. Now I can’t navigate in the viewports. I can zoom in and out wit the scroll wheel, but I can’t pan and I can’t focus with F.

How is this possible to have such issues? I can’t even use the program until this is fixed.

Edit: OK I solved the first problem, the instructions I had told me to use the alt key, but I should have used the shift key. Can someone tell me where in the user preferences I can find the focus command? I am under the impression it is F but it doesn’t do anything. what is it called in the settings so I can find it and set the key?

Edit 2: Found it! It’s the numpad . key.
