my only new comment is that the marble’s reflection texture should have a wood-like or at least brownish bottom half, so it looks less out of place.

Normaly the ball looks like copper or something. And I think speeding up the gameplay would indeed be a good idea.

I love it when people read the whole topic.
you might wan’t to use the option on the ball rom the SILO game. that way you will have realistic reflections.
Try giving a control option with your mouse.
