Hi guys and gals,
long time since my last post!
I just finished my latest Blender animation for a silly song.
The characters are low poly because I use them for games as well in Unity. Also one thing I forgot was to put a texture to the Rhino and I also could have done more animation movement in some scenes.
Any advice welcome from animators as I’m always trying to improve with each one. Or any questions you may have.
One thing I’d like to know is how to render things quicker. Because this took about 100 minutes to render for 2 minutes of video. The skater part took longest to render.
I think it took me about 2 weeks of actual work spread over a month including making the music. But I’m not sure. I already had the characters modelled and rigged before that.
The text was done on a separate layer and then I composited that on top of the scene using alpha blend.
Each section is a different scene. The whole video was composed using the video sequencer all in the same Blender file. I had some trouble with this as sometimes the physics wouldn’t work in the sequencer and I had to add that scene again to the timeline.
Paul.
