My personal insignia

Hi guys.

I’ve created an insignia in Inkscape for personal use and I’d like you to comment on it. It represents a wolf with a flames before/behind him, though I’m sure there’ll be tweaking to do. Maybe get rid of the cartooney look on the wolf but I don’t like him being 100% black either.
Tell me what ya like, what ya don’t like so I can optimize it.

Cheers!

i like it, but personally, i’d remove the white stroke on the red line, and mebbe up the opacity on it too. just a bit.

I edited the insignia a bit. I removed the cartooney strokes from the wolf, adjusted those of the flame (only on the bottom part are they still visible) and I darkened the colors overall.
See the picture in the first post, that’s the current version, or see the picture here

And what about mine?

REMOVE THE DAMN WHITE STROKE

… err, just, yeah, i still think it would look much better without any white stroke.

obscene language removed

Why?! I open the file and the wolf has disappeared, a white rectangle sitting in it’s place. What happened?!?!
The eye and the flame are still there, but the wolf has gone!
I’m NOT planning on remaking the whole damn thing…

inkscape has some major problems with screwing files up. gimp does too.

you lucky you my homeboy. i did my best to repair the damage:

Wow, you did a great job, Lua!
Thanks a bunch!
To show you my appreciation, I’ll remove the damn white line :stuck_out_tongue:
But first I’ll tweak your otherwise excellent work and make those 3 Béziers into one.
'scuze me while I go to work

Not to burst your bubble or anything, but that wolf looks like it just tripped. How about a more… good… pose?

Now that you mention it, Saxofoner, the legs do seem a bit weird. The tail needs a bit of work as well.
I’ll do those tomorrow; enough work for today.
