I finished my f1, after a few days
of work… I had been working on
the ship for a few days, as part
of another project, but everyone
here said the design wasn’t good for
the application… So I decided instead
of letting all that work (5days for modelling and
textuing) go to waste, I would make an
f1 of it. I spent the last two days before the
deadline adding the enviroment…
Maybe the scene could need some more detail but it look very cool!
remember lots of pep here just watch and quit…if you got no reply after a few visit it’s jst because the one who saw it aren’t enough intelligent to reply
well, I like the design. looks like mobile phone, or something. very cool.
materials work too… you problem could be the lighting. and setup.
it not too bad, but the craft is very small, all though you seem to have enough space to make it come nearer, and still show as that neat city underneath…
you also placed the camera/ship so, that it is in a same place with that only taller building beneath… that sticks out… I would have either removed the whole building, or tried to move the ship… perhaps removed to building. dont know.
one spot underneath of the ship could work too… bringing it out…
anyways, it mainly just wants me to see more of the craft, so I guess it could be a good thing too kind of a teaser?
Basse: wow. just plain wow. that
was one of the most helpful and
truthfull comments I have seen here
on elysiun. I am honored for that reply
to have been for my work.
I definitely understand and agree with
everything you said. That building below
the ship does stand out a bit much.
I might have made the ship closer to
the city, except that that city is very
un detailed. I created a heightmap
of white squares in photoshop, and
did the noise function once.
Oh well. I only spent two days on
the enviroment. The ship wasn’t even
supposed to be and f1. I was making
it for something else, then when I posted
another render of the ship here on elysiun,
everyone didn’t think the design fit. So I
dropped that design. And two days ago, I
decided I would enter it in the f1 challenge,
just for the fun of it…
Thanks for the very very intelligent, and helpful
reply. I will be refining (let’s try the right word:
developing ) my skills in the next few months,
so next year, I hope to have a much better one.
