I added a sign today.
I hope this fits well with the style, I like how it turned out- and I am going to create the game tutorial on this first level using these signs.

This picture is pretty self explanatory.
The genie is just going to be a helpful character that gives advice.
Here is a video of the tutorial, I am still not very good with youtube so I don’t know if it works.
This is just the tutorial, any suggestions for additions would be nice.
Hi Fredstash. It looks great! Graphics and logic integration are 100% better.
I think the animations could do with a little work.
Here’s a turorial I made on walk cycle animations;
Thanks for that tutorial, I will definitely try it out- It will probably be pretty time consuming, but I know that the results will be worth it.
Hi,nice to see you work on that and improve your skills very well, looks great!!
tip of the day-…always watch polycount on small assets!=normal map can do wonders:yes:
A very nice cartoony look, I would remove the shadows and concentrate at working away at those diffuse textures. No need to make things complicated with normal and spec maps. Improve upon the diffuse textures and this could look really neat. Aim at something like this:
I have been running into the issue of too many polygons, and I was looking into that. And I will look into This VVVVVVV

Thanks for all of the help.
Edit: truthfully though I am working on animations exclusively.
I am having issues with the IK bones, it all works, but how do you bake all of the animations? I have only seen how to bake one which doesn’t work because I have several.
I made some new animations with IK, but I am having issues trying to transfer it to the game. I may make a movie showcasing the new animations some time soon, but I have a big test coming up soon so I need to pay attention to that more than a game.
You don’t have to bake IK unless you’re getting problems with frame rate. Also as long as your character has the same armature as the one you made the new animations with you can just use “append” to grab the actions from another blend file and bring them to your main project.
Some people make just one long animation and set the action actuator to only use the correct frames. Like 0-21 is walk, 22-43 is run, 44-100 is the jumping animation etc… that way you can bake all in one.
Yeah, I figured out how to fix that problem, the actual problem was the fact that my original armature was terrible and I am trying to replace it with a new better one.
I think I will need to set up all of the logic for the character again, but that is completely ok, and I will get to it after I am done with tests at school.
hey! looking great! i like the genie, but he looks like a soap bubbles. XD
Thanks, I am not quite sure I like the genie or not, this is all definitely a work in progress
Thanks everyone for comments and suggestions.
I will get back to making this game around next week.
