Hi!
I am usually using yafray. For that project I decided to give blender-interal a try. I am using 2.42a. I think it went ok. What I like in blender internal is that you can make diffuse-only and spec-only lights. I dont know how to do that in yafray - the buttons seem not to make effect… however you always need some time to get some experience in the settings
