For starters I would lose that particle hair and let us have a good close-up view of the model with good lighting. And a mesh would be good too.

Those hairs look too strait. You need to make them bendy. Also you should make them taper at the ends you can adust this under the “Strands” setting in the Materials settings.
The pic is really small - hard to see any detail. Better upload a bigger one.
