Hey all,
For the past few years, I’ve been building a super-small underground magazine. We do a few prints each year, and in one of our recent prints, we had the amazing opportunity of interviewing the very talented Yan Hirschbuhl, who kindly gave us some insights into all of his work—including some cool stills from the film. We had a lot of fun with this one (and it’s been nice to push out a printed magazine in today’s digital age).
We spoke on Projects for iconic franchises like Star Wars, and his experiences in working with Disney to showcase some incredible advancements in CGI over the years.
Yan describes that Montreal emerges as the new hub for visual effects, and today’s visual artists benefit from the vast resources and tools available, making the field more accessible than before.
Overall, truly blessed that we got to sit down with someone so deeply rooted in this stuff! (Feel free to check out what we are building):
