My Very Basic Questions.

I will be asking all of my questions in this thread.

So lets say I take the default cube that starts off in the center and I move it all around, rotate it, and move it in all different axis.

How do I get the object back to its original position, aligned perfectly?

(I know how to snap the selection to the cursor, but I want to go back to default location and rotation, if that makes any sense.)

In object mode Alt-g clear location, alt-r clear rotation. Or press n and enter the values. If you have moved and rotated in edit mode you have just moved the verts and not the objects so the only way back would be with undo.

I tried it and - for location - it clear the location but it won’t bring it back to the original position of creation but to the origin 0,0,0 !

is that normal ?

Yes it is normal. If you want to remember the original location you have to create the object and move its center to the origin (with center cursor) or parent the object to an empty and alt-o clear origin.

Now what would be difference between local , global mode in terms of rotation , location & scale ?
