Navmesh issues

I’m trying to set up a a navmesh (under the scene tab) for a bigger, more intricate building and the navmesh is not working correctly (the system I am using works for basic square navmeshes so I don’t think it is my fault). I can’t post a .blend (it is for a school project and I can’t post it) but soon I will try to reinvent the issue to post the problem.

I’m not sure if it is an issue with me or a bug in blender.

Thanks for any help- and you will probably need more explanations, but if anyone needs more info just ask- I will spend this hour working on a .blend

I generally make my own ‘floor’ by extruding faces from a plane, without any walls etc

then I use this to make the navmesh.

(think only the walkable terrain and mind the width vs actor size)

I had the same issue

click the navmesh -> go to physics -> reset index (now it works for me at least)
