I’m tired of the Filebrowser always coming up with the filters all off, especially for the backup .blends. I figure it must be very easy to tweak something in the python code to change this but I quickly got lost 
If somebody could just point me to the right module and maybe indicate the lines of interest, I could probably take it from there.
(overall I think it should just remember your last settings but it always resets to default whenever a fresh window is opened.)
