Im very new to blender but am strating to get sick of just following tutorials and think im ready to design my own scene but i cant think of anything.:mad: Can anyone think of a Scene that would both look effective and be reasonably easy for an intermediate person?
A dinosaur in a forest scene with billboarded trees.
glasses, fluid sims and that kind of stuff look impressive and are quite easy to make with the help of some tutorials…
Or you could do a chessboard 
Try a Red Barn on a farm with a wheat field behind it , then maybe throw in a tractor and some old farm tool… Just an idea.

hi, i had this same feeling about what i was doing and ive started to make a small anim, so far i ve learned ten times more than when i was just following tuts, you had a good decision in my opinion, wha ti can suggest you is to take a pencil and a piece of paper and start making a story and some sketches, you could use as “theme” something that you like or something that you can think as a goal, dont do it just to do i think that if you find some meaning in doing it you will not leave it to the trash can after 2 weeks. thats it …hahaha
