I recently purchased two models as .obj from cgtrader.com. I believe they were created with zBrush. I need to pose the models for 3D printed sculptures. However, I opened them in Blender, and the meshes appear to be extremely complex, like nothing I’ve ever seen; definitely not low-poly. (I’m still somewhat of a Blender newbie). I’m concerned that if I add rigging, they are going to be too ungainly to pose. Could someone please take a quick look at the meshes in Blender and tell me if these can be posed once rigging is added? I don’t suppose there is a way to simplify the meshes? They can be downloaded here:
You should retopologise the mesh to make a lower poly base mesh you can rig. For a high poly model you’d have better luck just banging your head against a wall now rather than waiting until you try and animate it
If you have bought the model please remove the download link if you do not have permission to distribute it
Richard, would you be available to retopologise these two models? I looked at some tutorials, and I’m still somewhat of a beginner. I need to have a pretty good job done… (don’t want to lose a lot of detail)… not sure I’m up for that yet. I have a limited budget to work with if you can do it. Or if not, I’ll post in the “jobs for pay” section. Thanks
