Need advicie fixing nasty seams on my mesh!

I have a aircraft mesh with an applied mirror modifier. I did double check the mesh to make sure main edge is lined up length wise from nose to tail. When apply the texture there are a couple nasty black stretching seams along the top and bottom of the mesh including the nose. I applied a UV texture grid to get a better view of whats going on. Here a couple images of the stretching. I’m learning as a go, so any advice that can help me fix this will be greatly appreciate it.

Try putting Mirror Modifier before Subsurf.
