Need blurred reflection on raymirrored plane

I am trying to make a reflection on a plane appear blurred. How can I do that? I am clueless when it comes to the nodes or compositor. Is there an easy way to produce a blurred image on the plane only?

apply a cloud texture to the mirror surface and have it mapped to affect reflectivity.

I tried mapping the cloud texture (multiples even) to the ref and even to the RayMir but looks like it only affects my reflected image but still too clean. I want to make it look like a Gaussian blur like on Gimp. Just no post pro. Any other ideas? Is it hard to do with nodes? or compositing?

Take your cloud texture noise size all the way down to 0.001, then map to normal instead and set the normal value somewhere between 0.05 to 1.0 and see if that is more to your liking. Be sure to turn off the Col button in map to unless you desire to have it help add contrast to your fresnel value. This last part is really only good for objects that aren’t planar.

Thanks that actually became more than I was looking for. I made it look more like a reflection off water! This was truly a help. You can see the results in the focused critique thread of mine. (Ubuntu studio background image).
