Hello all and Happy New Year!
Making a personal short film with pro actors here in the Los Angeles area and am looking for help for three basic shots:
a) a holodeck shot, damaged (two shots, each 1-2 secs long)
b) a medical suite tube, relatively undamaged (1 shot, 1 sec long)
c) a battlecruiser, heavily damaged, in space, with space debris from battle (1 shot, 3-4 secs long)
It’s the aftermath of a one-on-one engagement between two battlecruisers. This is the victorious one - and it’s critically damaged, about to fall apart. (You should see the other guy…)
Inside is an AI who has managed to revive the only other survivor of the battle - an enemy lieutenant. She’s actually inside an inprovised medical suite tube, and is badly wounded herself, but the AI has put them both in a holodeck with a pastoral setting because he needs critical information from her.
That’s the pilot/story and we’re shooting the interior holodeck scene in a couple weeks (green screen, motion markers). It’s around 5 pages long, so I thought a couple of shots where the holo image is breaking up and revealing a) the holodeck itself, battered, b) the lieutenant’s real location and situation (battered worse) and finally c) the ship the AI is on might help the story a little.
We’re all doing this for love but it will be HD/2k and festival/demo reel for credits at the very least.
Check me out via my full name - I’m a legit film maker, have been for many decades. Then get in touch via email or text if you’re interested.
Many thanks!
