Hi I’m trying to model a magpul moe grip for my ar15 but I’m really struggling with it, I’ve been using bool tool to get the shape of the grip but it’s not really working out the way I thought. I can include the blend file but I deleted my previous attempts at making the grip because they looked really bad.

I’m not sure where to start because without knowing you and what you’ve tried, that becomes difficult, so I think I’ll just send you over to Josh Gambrell and his tutorial here:
It’s focused on boolean cleanup, and he just throws the basic grip together without much care, but it’s the only tutorial I know of that doesn’t race at 3x or greater speed through the basic process. And you can get the process of how to create such a grip from it, even though yours is more complex, which I think is what matters here. Also, hey, boolean cleanup is definitely something useful to learn as well; you’ll need it.
I don’t think he uses any add-ons here. His hard surface tutorials (those for vanilla Blender) are quite beginner-friendly.
Oh thanks, I’ll take a look at this tutorial.
If you have questions after that, ask away – then we’ll be on the same page.
You will be able to upload more pictures when you get to the next “trust level” in the forums – you just need to spend 10 minutes reading posts and interacting a little (liking some stuff) and you’ll be able to upload all you need.
Nice ok thanks a lot I really appreciate it, let me check out this tutorial, I feel a little embarrassed but this video might be all I needed.
No need to be embarrassed, we all started sometime and didn’t know how to do things.
