Hi guys. Earlier, I got the idea of taking a picture of my front room window and making it look like a bullet pierced the glass but didn’t go all the way through. I modeled the bullet projectile, cell fractured a cube supposedly where the window in the picture is, set the material of the projectile to a copper gloss and just regular glass for the window shards. My only problems are, how do I make the bullet and glass look like they are real and present in the picture, and, how do I add the image I took to the scene? Thanks!
Thankfully it is a simple render - why not begin with mimicking the lighting. Match virtual lights to the lighting in the photo both inside and out. That’s step one I’d say. Incorporate the picture you took into the render (cycles or BI render?). Upload progress.
