Hey Everyone.
Im following a tutorial and it says download blender file here. So I click it and it comes up with a bunch of random numbers and letters. What is this?

Try right clicking and ‘Save target as’ or similar.
Usually ( for me anyway ) when I click on a .blend or a .py file I just get text. Basically your browser just opens the file in the window, and you get text. To actually save the file, do what petersk said and save it.
For Mac users:
Safari : File ->Save page as ( whatever.blend / whatever.py )
or
Control + Click ( Right click if you have it ) “Save page as”
