Hi;my name is Gev,im 21.i need help.you see i want to start something serious:cool:,but i want to verify not to have difficultes after.my question is-if im modeling a character, and i want to create a short film, but i must also creat the world where the character must be,do i have to create them the same time, same place,or i can create the character save it,and after the world?(if i can create them separately, how can i put them together, well for the film)???
excuse me for my english, thanks for listening and answering.
I would model the character first, or at least a proxy object, which could then be used as a measuring stick to set up your environment, and whatever might be in it.
Using Blender, you can easily create many different files, and import anything into anything. You can even import different formats - .obj, .3ds etc. Happy blending and welcome to the forums.
thank you very much.can i ask you something els-if i download the models made in 3d max, maya ,zbush or other program, can i lunch them on blender,or contrary.well you see i created a character in blender and for example i found something for my character(boots, gun, bag etc) but maded in 3d max or other program ,if i download that file can i put with my character in blender without problems.
Blender will import a few formats, and other programs will export several. You have to import a file blender has an import scropt for. You can’t just open an .obj file or .3ds.
Read up on importing.

I know Zero about particles. I’m a modeler/texturer, primarily concerned with low poly game models and high poly furniture modeling for my job as a furniture designer. There are a LOT of tutorials out there, so you’ll find what you need. I don’t know where any particle tuts are, however.
EDIT:
Here’s a few links to some tuts:
This first link has an import tut as #1
