get rid of the halo sun it really detracts from your work
background - add some far off mountains or something in the background - the real world almost never ends in a flat lined horizon unless you are out to sea or something
more detail in the foreground - maybe some dead branches or leaves on the ground - maybe more rocks
make sure there is enough there to make us feel like we can walk around and always find something new
Linking to something on your D: drive just isn’t going to work…
I’ve tried looking at your site a few times recently. Every time failed, with a “Gateway Timeout… Server Unreachable” error for the www.mebswebsite.dyns.net part of the site

Ho hum, lets see… yes:
Bark texture to your trees
The grass looks to be of uniform height and ends in a too straight line.
add some clumps of it on the sand (snad?)
Mud
Algae and/or fish
Perhaps a steeper bank, this entire land would flood over if it rained a little.
Dead leaves under the tree.
Branches and stuff washed up by the water.
There, that should keep you occupied for awhile

Hey! that’s pretty good! I think that you need to add in a backround, make a more realistic looking sun, and add some more stuff to the forground (basically everything that tmtechy said).
