I have a mesh that is pretty much symmetrical, but once I rig it with a symmetrical skeleton, the left side’s weight-painting gets screwed up, causing deformities in the poses. The right side of the mesh works beautifully, but the left side is hopeless. Is there an automated way to make meshes symmetrical, or do I have to do it manually?
I haven’t tried “ALT+R” yet, but I tried the mirror modifier. Part of the problem is that the mesh isn’t mine, and it appears to have been modeled a bit crooked. I’ll try clearing the rotation when I get home. Thnx.
