does anyone know any good toon modeling tutorials
Modelling a toon is just like modelling anything, there arent really any special “toon” buttons. Rendering is different, but modelling is the same as always.
Why not just try and model a cartoon character? Then when you have a problem, search for an answer and if you are still stuck, post here.
Ian
Draw a toon character in front and side view. Make sure the proportions are the same and key features line up. Then use the Torq “Better Face Tutorial” (search for it here) as a guide as to how you make your mesh follow the shapes.
As Ian says, it’s no different to modelling other things really. Just make the verts and loops follow the desired shape (sounds easy doesn’t it?). The hard part is coming up with a good looking character!
The next blenderart mag (due soon I think) is supposed to be about character modelling so that might be worth keeping an eye out for in the News forum (you can subscribe if you find the link).
