Nevermind ...

Edit: Seeing as my idea of carrying on actual 2.50 development discussion in a new thread was roundly rejected, “Blender 2.5 Development Updates - Part 2” is now “Nevermind …”

Seeing as Smoke Simulation is being actively developed for Blender 2.50, I have a question regarding that:

Has anyone gotten a smoke-sim to work with a fluid-sim-based particle system? I tried it in an early build, but no luck. After watching this video, I wondered if maybe it’s now possible …

Would love to see a flowing liquid with hot steam dissipating as it rises from the surface!

I’m going to try that now with fluids… let’s see
Already have an idea ^^
It depends on wether you could use the fluid-particles with smoke or not…

Ok, tried now.
Partilces get generated as usual but as soon as I try to use them with Smoke, they disappear. So, I guess, it doesn’t yet work… (maybe someone finds a workaround…)
I’m currently trying to simply rearange the modifiers, though I doubt, that would work…
