Hi all ,
I like cars and change their. This is complete at 80%.I must complete back and make a scene.
Pure blender (2.30 with blenderintel)
Very cool! I’m not a fan of the new body style VW gave to the Beetle, but your mods to it look awesome. The front bumber could be a little more smooth, and the wheel wells look a little odd to me. Other than that, it looks great. The paint is borderline perfect and the lighting is great. I can’t wait to see more of the car!
Heh, cool. I did a few renders and modeling tweaks with this model a while back. Would like to see some more views of what you’ve done.
Check my version here at elYsiun
A tip for you with the model set up and rendering the envmap. Don’t have the car in the render when you render for the first time. It can increase render times enormously. Move it to another Layer, so it’s not there when the envmap calculates. This might not be an issue if you’re using the r=new recursive envmaps though.

oh my god. I love your car!!! it is very great tuning!!! and great down lights!!! only one word: incredible!!!
I have one question. How do you make down light? please send here screenshot your scene with blue new bettle!!!
The neon down light’s are easy to do. Add 6 Spot lamps when in Top view, one under each corner of the car and one under the middle on each side. Then use Side view to position the lamps so they are just below the original floor base of the car.
Select all 6 lamps, then press CTRL L to link them together and select Lamp data. Now change the colour of the spot lamps to whatever you want. Make the Spot cone size 130+, extend the length of the lamps so the cones end just below the floor. Make the shadow clip start and clip end values match the end of the cones and turn Halo on. You may need to tweak the volumetric halo settings to get a really good glow. (I also used Auto colour balance in Photoshop to really make the blue light stand out.)
If I can I’ll post a .blend with the lamps inside, then you can append them into your project.
Glad you like my ride. Please show us some more renders of your version.
