New Bikini Model (Image Intensive)

This is my latest project, and my very first attempt at a humanoidish character. No feet, ears, or eye definition yet, but more will come. I gave her a bikini so i wouldn’t “offend” any users. I actually think she looks better with it on. The head looks a little fat, I’ll fix that later too. The model is actually referenced from an anime picture of some girl, so it wasn’t intended to look realistic. I strongly welcome any criticisms.

And a sexy pose…

I’m playing with the idea of a robot based on her body definition, or it could just be some type of armor. Let me know what you think.

One last issue, I render at 16001200, but my image comes out 800600. Weird.

You probably have the render size set at 50% in the render tab :)… I really like your model tho. The head isn’t too fat I think either. One thing, in the pic where she’s lying down she doesn’t seem… eh… natural :-?.

Nice model, at this moment iam practising with human modelling, and its not easy.

I have a few things:

  • the jaw-line is the sharp for a woman, smooth it out a little.
  • the hand has some things to look after, especially the fingers. I dont know what is wrong, but there is something wrong.
  • rotate the thumb a little bit(third image), the it is now, it looks strange.
  • Again about the third image, look at the arm the lays under her head, there is some strange ‘bulb’ where the arm connect the boddy.
  • The knees are to thin.

I hope you understand what i mean, despite my bad english.

Walibie

she looks good, and i also agree that her hands look bad in the third image.

btw: where did you get the reference images to model her?

The reason that Pic #3 looks a little funny is because I had to hand deform the object. I wasn’t getting good results with armature deformation, so I went ahead and manually moved the vertices. I think this is where most of the problems come from. Unless i can find a good way to deform the mesh, I’ll have to do it that way. I’ve tried weight painting and I am just not good at it.

Ben_Force: I got the image from my brother. I don’t know and he doesn’t remember where he got them from, but one of the pictures said “Magna Carta” on the bottom. Don’t know what it means though.

very nice model, i’m practising with face modeling right now, although its not good enough to show…yet.

could you pls post the reference image, a wire with subsurf and one without, and take of that bikini

very nice indeed, great work

mystery

PS: about the robot/armor thing, it’ll look better if she is a droid/robot because she doesn’t look that realistic.

Very nice character! You brought up an interesting question that I was going to ask. How to you pose a model once you build it? I haven’t played with armatures yet. Is it the armature that will give a model the ability to bend into different positions? Or do you have to use an app like poser?

I like the bikini and the hair.

Great job.
