New blender User in need of help.

Hi I am beginner with using blender.

When I go to render my object, the object shows up in black and grey. rather than colors that id like to see.

Could anyone Please help me.

Maybe you should tell us something more about the material that you put on it.

Nice screen shot but could you do one showing us the material in the properties panel with the object selected. That is where you select your colors. Less see if I can’t upload a screenshot with that selected.
