anyone aas tested the new bridge tool function

i tried to test it for a long empty space
but i see that the top and bottom part has double edges ?

is there a way to clean up quick
or the tool is still being work on ?

You didn’t select every edge around the hole, did you?

You only need to select the ring of edges over which the bridge will take place.

For a proper test, make a string of edges, duplicate it, offset so it’s parallel to the first set, and invoke the bridge operation.

Make sure you’re using a recent trunk build as well.

i use 56991

and i selected only the left and right verts
as shown in the tut ?
and it adds more edges then reeuired!
if i select all verts around hole it does not work anyway!

do you remember what was the tut on this ?

For best results, you should instead try to select the verts on the longest sides, not the shortest sides.

This isn’t really even a good test case for the bridge tool, to fill a hole like that would require the use of the ‘grid fill’ tool instead (which the examples so it working when selecting the verts on the shortest sides.

you mean grid fill for face tool
was nota ble to make it work and cannot find it in wiki!

if i selct only top adn bottom eges seems to work now!
