I often see that people here don’t reply posts with non-super-great works. May be it would make sense to create new category where people would sent their work if they are newbies or they know that their work is not super-great?
Personally, I’m firmly against this concept. BlenderArtists is for all artists, regardless of their skill level.

An artist itself could perceive the difference between WIP, finsihed work, focused critique, sketchbook… pretty - ugly.
It is free by ability and choice.
Unaware of what one does brings consequences, thus helping one become aware, self critical, more confident with their works… or not.
Isms start this way, by separating and judging art for others, based on their own prejudice.
Also, there’s a feature row.
Guess many are unaware of what art really is.

Actually I’m glad to hear this on this site and I understand these opinions.
But still Blender is very complicated software to learn and if you are very beginning in it, you have limited possibilities to express your artistic ideas. I mean that when you are at the very start of road to artist’s city, what you can show looks like children’s paintings. Children’s paintings are not interesting for mature artists. And what I see on forums here, they in fact are absolutely ignored.

While some pieces maybe don’t get the attention that we’d like them to, I have to disagree with this in part. There’s a number of folks here who are very willing to offer suggestions and help for new artists. However, as with any community these kinds of things are a two-way street. It’s all about communicating. It’s best when a new artist explicitly asks for feedback and help. Also, any artist is likely to get more engagement and feedback from others if he or she makes an effort to truly participate in other people’s threads. That is, you’re more likely to get quality feedback on your work if you make the effort to go out and post about the work other people post.
