New Computer / Workstation for CG and Video editing: Any tips ?

Hi,
I had to leave Blender and CG for awhile, 3 years now. The crisis and having to focus on my job unfortunately lead me here. Right now I want to come back and I’m thinking about getting a new computer, this is the current specs:

PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/bVRR

CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($269.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper N520 43.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($23.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Asus P8H67-M PRO/CSM (REV 3.0) Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($94.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($95.99 @ Newegg)
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($84.99 @ Newegg)
Hard Drive: Sandisk Ultra 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($101.47 @ Mwave)
Video Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB Video Card ($187.55 @ Newegg)
Case: Rosewill Blackbone ATX Mid Tower Case ($34.00 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Cooler Master 750W ATX12V Power Supply ($75.98 @ Newegg)
Monitor: ViewSonic VX2453mh-LED 24.0" Monitor ($188.00 @ B&H)
Keyboard: Logitech K120 Wired Standard Keyboard ($10.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Mouse: Logitech V220 Wireless Optical Mouse ($19.99 @ Best Buy)
Total: $1187.93
(Prices include shipping and discounts when available.)

I’m not sure about if it’s worth investing in a CUDA video card, but I guess I would benefit working with it, because I could have my renders more faster or at least work faster. I dont have much time.

Any tips are appreciated,

thanks for your time!

For the video card I think a Leadtek Winfast 560 would be a better choice for a workstation.
That Barracuda is a steal. The SSD isn’t bad either.
I have a K120 KB and I like it.
Nice. Good price too.

for the video card get this one it has 2GB of RAM. (or get a TI version with 2GB of RAM, either one)

Find a different Mobo, Z68 or Z77… “H” series cannot overclock…
makes your unlocked “K” series CPU kind irrelevant.

Also you may want to look at Ivy bridge if you do lots of video transcoding,
it is faster than Sandy Bridge(2600K)
