new feature for windows?

i downloaded a file from a thread and uzip it
then in the folder i could see the inside of the blender file in the icon

then the icon return to it’s normal blender icon look!

so is this a new feature on windows may be
and how do you set it up ?

I always thought, that the image is the last render, as a .blend always has an image called render result (or so) in the UV Image editor. But after looking in my files it seams that it’s more probably the last camera view. Perhaps Windows takes this as a preview. I think that’s a general Windows feature and blender provides the preview image.

in 2.49 or higher SVN

first time i see this
so wondering how it is possible or how to set it or reset it
