I think its good, but why are you using a cube with the reload? It would be a LOT simpler with a property called clip:
Okay, let´s say you have 5 bullets. You use 4, so you have 1 bullet left.
when you shoot the last one, substract 1 from the clips and put a sensor (property: clip : changed) and an actuator setting the bullet-property back to 5. There you go!!!
Well, for one, i used a cube to reload as a basic example for the tutorial, i have this method working in my game and it works just fine.
I wrote the tutorial based on how i was shown how to do this, i know of no other method.
This way is easy, works great and is simple for everyone including the beginer to understand.
