It’s a Kaminoan! Looks like your off to a good start. The side look pretty good, but the front is too thin and some of your definition is too defined and sharp, especially the brow area.
robert: Your the first one to get it correct, so you get a big smiley for a prize!
thoro: not Lama Su, but indeed a female Kaminoan. Well, that is what my reference is anyway.
The width is per the reference image I have, but I see your point there. I’ll see what I can do. As for the sharpness in areas, I will work on that too. Thanks.
WeirdHat: Thanks.
Jerri: Thanks as well. Updates later today, likely.
Just kidding man (or am I???) looking good, i can really see that your modeling has improved from back in our mech-making dayz, boy those were fun!!!
If its kool with my instructor I will try to post a few pics of my latest modeling assignment, which was to make a cyborg-animal, i did a shark. If you and the rest are interested in seeing that is…
Anywayz, glad to see your still blending my friend, and definatly drop me a line next time you hit Van!!! Take care bro!!!
BgDM as always amazing work! This one seems to be going on the same lines as Sebulba a well put together piece of work with great modelling, design, texturing everything. I can’t wait to see the end result of this one. Will continue watching your updates. Hope you animate it (and not just a fly-around/rotation).
You’re one of my many inspirations in the blender guru world.
Bapsis: Thanks man. It is a self portrat actually. Just using an image from the morning after, if you know what I mean. Would definitley like to see the stuff you are working on. Post it up for us.
lukep: Thanks.
Final update before I unwrap and start UV texturing. Some areas to soften up, but nothing major.
Have to tweak some verts to get the stretching down, mostly on the face area and the back of the head. Hopefully will get that done today and start textures later on.
Modron: Thanks. It looks like I have the stretching taken care of now. Just need to figure out the skin colours and textures and try and get some nice highlights.
Also need to fix up the area around the mouth. Got too much colour in there.
Just fu**ing great BgDM. Really great model. And very interesting to see you texturing it now. How do you apply the color on the correct points on the texture? You don’t use the numbers and colors on the first map, do you? This is the part I never really understood with blender. How to you know where to exactly put the colors after UV-unwrapping the model.
