Does (or will) Blender work with the new iMacs and MacBook Pros with the Intel “dual core” chip?
This is jus out of curiosity. I don’t think I will be getting a new Mac for a wihle, but the question popped up ni my head, and i thought I would ask it.
The only purpose I’d use a mac for, is a rendermachine. I dislike macs very much, they’re gimps compared to pc’s.
yes it will work… the new macs can run old mac software anyway, so push come to shove if it wern’t compiled for the new intel macs, it would still work.

there’s a very slight chance it wouldnt work, but ill ignore that.
as soon as someone gets a mac and starts compiling thngs on it we will have builds for it. but it will work, just none of the devs have one.
Technically you just need one to test it, not to compile it. PPC Macs can target both architectures.
