I’d say yeshuawatso has used the regular technique of modelling open ended cylinders around each window with a gradient red UV texture and the UV faces set to ‘add’. Glad to see it being used more these days, it can give some very nice light volume effects.

Actually it’s an alpha texture but it will be optional in the game. The alpha part of blender doesn’t run too well so it will be optional for the higher-end graphics card. The game will also include realtime shadows as well! The game is sort of satanic Resident Evil clone with a few twist and great effects. I should be done by the last week of October.
