ok pressing crtl will let a selection snap to another cv when you move of the it.
but i was unable to really figure out how to use the center, nearest, and median option.
coming from cad it sounds like center of an edge but i do think that is what is mend here.
any clues?
The 3 setting(center, median, closest) are settings for group movement… if u select more than 1 it snaps acording to the setting.
Closest: snaps the group to the vertex that is closest to the to the vertex you want to snap to.
Median: snaps to the median of the group
Center: snaps the the center(Think it’s like bounding box) of the group
I was wondering that too. Thanks. All my previous experience with snap has had the opposite as the reference but that clears up the confusion.

For my own, I notice exactly the same behaviour with the 3 options : snap to closest vertex.
