Hi. I have the task of preparing a high poly mesh to a low poly one I created. I followed a video on YT tutorial, and it worked out quite well. I am shocked that the process was so straightforward. But It is not 100% there, and I would love to know if it’s possible to achieve it.

I am pleased with the result, but there are two main issues I would like to address:

The black part on the first render on every grip bump. I think it might be because I align the low poly mesh to the valley of the knob instead of the “mountain”. How would you fix this?

The second render shows a faceted reflection. Will I solve this If my low poly cylinder has more sides than the one I created?
