As you can see I’m new here …and I started to learn blender just one week before so here my first attempt to model with it …( I mean by not following any tutorial )…
it’s a low poly manga Character …i’m not so experimented about human model so this one was looking not so hard to do …
Wooh that is really good for a new user. Did you try out sub surface? I love everything except those triangles above her eyes. Shoes is abit off. Nice stuff. Maybe bigger pictures next time.
Nice start. Im glad to see you have got the areas around the knees and elbows sorted (3 close rings of vertices around them). Should look very good when animated, particularly as you have very thin limbs. The proportions of the model are great also. Subsurfacing is very usefull, but theres no substitute for getting the vertices in the right place from the start. I hope you keep posting the updates as its nice to see progress in the forums.
It’s looking really good so far! You could do with another loop of edges at the neck, the hips - and a vertical cut through the top of the shoe, so she can bend her toes better. Are you going to model fingers? At any rate the thumb looks a little long compared to the ‘mitt’.
maybe you could put a pony tail holder in the hair?? Also, where did u gut the reference images?? I want to make a cartoony character (never modeled a living creature before). Anyways, for one week… DUDE!
The UV looks good, only crit is that there seems to be a small scaling problem on the sleeves. One question- does it look any good with subsurf on? You would have to put in creased edges at the bottom of the trowser legs, the bracelets and shoes, but it would probably make a nice high poly character with fairly little effort. Just a thought.
