I keep thinking this is probably my mistake because I am new but I don’[t know. I am using 2.5 and trying to do the castle tut. A lot of my shortcuts work sporadic - sometimes they do and other times they don’t (especially views) The one that is giving me the problem right now is control r {subdivide) Yesterday it worked once but I can’t get it to work again. I am following the tut word for word but NO slideable line shows up. I am getting frustrated, I have tried to be patient but it does the same thing over and over.:confused:

Show an example (image, preferably blend file) that shows the problem you are having.
The tools work as they are supposed to, the reason they don’t seem to work is 99.99% user error/misunderstanding of how the tool works.

I agree with that. I just tried it again and it worked this time. I will try it some ;more before I bother you again.
