I don’t know if you guys allready know this, but I found out how to get excellent edges on meshes using subsurf. Well I don’t have any pictures with me right now but all you have to do when you have rounded edge is to select corner vertice and to extrude her, adjust x,y,z and you have prefect edge even if you convert it mesh (ALT-c) you just delete unneeded vertices! Well I hope I explained this good but I will make some pics and send it to you, then you’ll know. And again, I am sorry, very sorry if anyone allready find out about this!
Here are some pics:
- Mesh with mesh subsurf but without edge adjust
2.Mesh with mesh subsurf with edge adjustion
Also it is more easy to make this extrusions of edges in subsurf level 1 and then you can increase the level of subsurf! I need some replys to see am I doing something with this! %|
Ehm… we already know this…

Well, I didn’t Nice tip. All I did was subdevide the area like 3x to make it an edge. lol
It would good if you could post some pics of this in 3d and solid filled so where could see what the differnce would be on the mesh.
I don’t reccomend using it.
In 2D might go, but in 3D you’ll ge a non-manifold mesh, which is evil
