Hi all it’s me the creator!
Some of my friends and i were giving the chance to make a website,and review game,websites,phones,and online games. The website is http://www.phoneandgamereviews.co.nr/ I’m showing you guys it in hope that you may join our community!
A little about us:
We are a group of highly educated scholars! Just kidding,but we are a small group of friends that have been given a chance to make some extra money making reviews on games,websites,online games etc. At the moment I’m the project leader,but sometime this summer were getting a “sponsor” you could say that will be paying for the domain name,etc. When he takes over he will become the project director,and we are not expecting much if anything big to change! So please at least stop by,and check out our website,even though its just a WIP,and sign up! We would be happy if you would sign up on our website,and join our community! Any ideas,recommendations,etc please post here,and we will acknowledge all ideas!

Well if your shooting to get people to jump to your site - your going to have to make it a bit more flashy. Right now it just seems pretty simple with text.
Take http://www.ign.com/ for example. If you need help setting up this type of site I can recommend wordpress or something of the like. If you have any questions, feel free to send them by. Maybe you should add film reviews as well?
If by Ign you mean over crowded, slow, far too much advertising and over-all pretty shit on a website level basis then you’d be correct. Wordpress? so funny. wordpress is a CMS not to mention a rather simplified one. Wordpress != to instant ‘flashy designs’.
On a content and money making business you’d be correct at assuming they are ‘on the ball’
That is no pratical reason to assuming they have a good structured or even a well designed website simply because they have a sucesfull running business. Just as many cheesy, poorly designed, boring scam sites still seem to lure unsuspecting retards into purchasing crap.
To put it in more simplified terms. You live in a village, in this village there is one shop. This shop gets 100% profit from the village for the produce it supplies. The shop is falling apart, the staff are unhygenic and a bunch of assholes, and yet they must be the bee’s knees? Or is it because there is nothing better in the village?

Anyways the site looks ok, although I don’t particularly like the background or the advertisements. Its a nice dark website tho, which makes viewing it easy on the eyes. The advertisments do sometimes ruin it though, because when I was browsing one page there was a giant pink ad up the top, which clashed with the purple and black background.
Also do we have to register to view the reviews? Thats always something that puts me off personally.
And are you guys thinking of doing video reviews on youtube or something? That would be cool, u could link and embed the videos to the website, its always nice to see video of the game being reviewed.

I would say that in general (artwork, website, game, anything) you should only post/talk when you have something good to show.
Even when it’s a work in progress, you loose credibility and it’s sure that people judge the quality of what you are doing at the first sight.
Most of the time, people won’t come back to see the progress you have made on your website.
Some advices :
Ad-Edge is too nice, the background looks awful.
Tiled photoshop cloud texture. This is disturbing.
The colors used that way belong to the 1995-1998 era.
You should have an unified backgruond behind your text to make it readable. No alpha.
The line-space on the sidebar is too little .
There is no content on the homepage.
You should forget about
The page you are trying to view is password protected.
Don’t clutter your page with advertisements (you won’t make any money from it, and you don’t have any content that would make the user accept those advertisements displayed on his screen).

Ahem, so you come to BA forums advertising your site that you intend to make money from and you intend to constantly bump this thread posting ‘news’ about your site? Not being a bit selfish are we?
The world doesn’t revolve around you and this is worse than a spam bot. I own about 25 domains but I don’t go posting them here, and IIRC whenever i’ve mentioned about my site on here I’ve never linked /named it.

He’s using free web hosting, i’m sure it’s forced onto his pages.
