I’ve been using blender for a really long time now off and on (2.3 I believe). Recently I’ve begun working on my models for a animated flick I’ve been conceiving pretty much since I started working with blender. Anyway, here’s a photo of one of the space stations. I’m having an issue with the windows not rendering right in an animation. Almost like they’re blinking. Tried UV’ing it, but that isn’t coming out well. Tips would be great. Thanks everyone.
p.s. I also have an HD version which give alot more detail (obviously).
Upload the HD version somewhere as we can barely see a thing
Sorry about that. I just changed the camera in blender to do 800x600 instead of down converting the HD version. Anyway, after many toying with web hosts (looking for another one if anyone knows of a good free one), i finally dumped it on one of my bands old sites. Here’s the link plus a few more shots/models i’m working on.

Scale-wise, the illusion you have generated is superb, with nice epic touch to it. On the right hand side of the image, there is a lot of emptiness that is asking for some interplanetary object, I suggest that you avoid cliche’ here and aim for most unexpected.
thanks kbot. The design has come miles from where it started off. I’ve put in a “jump gate” in the lower right hand area to fill some space, also i had intended there to be some flight traffic type stuff going on. Just enough to know it’s there, but not enough to take away from the shot. This is really just an insert too, so an extreme amount of composition might be wasted. This has really become one of my favorite things I’ve made so far.
Here are some links to full versions of models I’ve done. The top one is the HD version of this one.
well, i keep trying to put the links in here for you, but the post wont show. odd. i’ll try to PM you, if that’s possible here, with the links.
This is due to an anti-spam weapon, had trouble when I had a low post count too. Anyways, here is a link to havensole’s HD picture:
I’m only wondering why didn’t you simply add it as an image, instead of putting a link
Would have just attached it, but the size was too large. Sorry, I didn’t mean to send the links to you, but to the other guy that posted. Sorry about that and thank you for posting the link for me.
Very cool. I agree, nice epic feel to it. Maybe some flare where the sun is coming around the planet?
Thanks for the advise. I will try some of that in my next render.
