So I like zombies. We have a lot in common…brain dead and walking around aimlessly with no clue.
AMC is premiering a 90-minute season episode of their new zombie series,The Walking Dead. I watched the whole trailer, and I’m ready for it. It’s produced and directed by a couple big names so it may turn out to be really good.
It premieres on Halloween night, so check it out. Here’s the trailer:
I wonder how long he was unconscious in hospital? Maybe 28 days…?
But seriously it looks a bit disappointing, I know the whole zombie thing is overdone, but it still has its appeal (sometimes). I just wish people would put some effort into it, instead of reusing all the major zombie cliches they can get their hands on. Why not do it a bit differently? Make something of it…

That is the idea of the original graphic novels, to follow an individual and how they interact with fellow survivors over an extended period of time.
The comics have been coming out regularly since 2003 and still going strong, so will be interesting to see how this transfers over to the TV series.
Hopefully when ‘World War Z’ comes to the cinema this will show an intelligent take on the zombie story as in the original book.
I think it will be good. The early reviews say so and AMC has built a solid reputation for buying top quality and brave shows. I wish Caprica was on AMC because I don’t think SyFy is going to stick with the show.
