Newbie here

Hey all I just downloaded Blender2.47 and am new to 3d in general…

I was hoping that someone could point me in the right direction

Every time I open Blender I get a pop up that states:

Compiled with Python version 2.5.2
‘import site’ failed; use -v for traceback
Checking for installed Python… No installed Python found.
Only built-in modules are available. Some script may not run.
Continuing happily.

I was wondering if the Python I need is in the installation package or if I need to download it from another source…or what exactly needs to happen from here.?:spin:

Thanks in advanced for any help.

Yes, download a full install of Python, and then look on this wiki page (a little out of date, but I wager you can figure it out ) for setting your python path.
