Newbie redner (very simple)

Hi, this is my first posted (and finished) work in Blender. I am going for emotional impact over modelling “wow” factor, that’s why this image is simple. I am feeling alone lately, so I decided to translate it into an image. C&C welcome, but consider this image final (i will take note of comments for future projects)

Renderer: Yafray (AO/AA)
Modelling Time: 15mins
Redner Time: 1min
Format: JPEG 77KB

The only reason I am not giving out the .blend file is that you would laugh at the “newbie-ness” of the modelling.

Good day to you all!

it might help to crop the image so that the horizon line is dividing the space less into equal halves. if you want a point of reference, the Golden Rule says divisions of 65% are most pleasing to the eye. i’d crop the image so that the sky makes up 65% of the total image height, thus reinforcing the lonliness aspect with an expanse of empty sky.

EDIT: better pic

I refrained from calling Blenderman2 dumb before, but I think now would be a good time to start.

Blenderman2, don’t do that sort of thing, or your name will become synonymous with… er… other annoying users.

agreed X10

Very nice, I like the message. I don’t see anything too n00bish about the modelling. Not all that sure why you used yafray to render this since no GI is really noticeable.

A very good start, certainly a lot better than my initial projects.

Edit: Oh and plantperson and chutney, if you’re going to post it’d be polite to actually comment the artwork rather wasting your time writing about someone’s stupid post.

That’s totally uncool, don’t do that again.
