Newbie: Wow. This is cool. Now what?

I have done some experimenting with Maya PLE in the past.

But I have to say, after having just finished the “Juicy” tutorials using Blender 2.27, I am in love. This program is so cool, and being open-source just gives me more of a buzz.

The Juicy tutorials were a nice appetizer, but where is the best resources to go from here? I want to learn it all - modeling, texturing and animating.

Thanks for your help!

Congrats, and welcome to blender! There’s a mega-tutorial list here you can look at:

Also, you can look at the tuts from the old blender3d.com site:

And also valar_king’s tutlist:

Good luck!

Not limited to tutorials in english.

Are there any books available that is on a fairly up to date version of Blender and that would be useful for a newbie to 3d like myself? Tutorials are great, but I like to have a real book in my hands sometimes.

You can download the Blender 2.0 Guide from http://www.blender.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=documentation&file=index and then print it out

It’s only 224 pages…
